Information We Collect
We collect publicly available information about newly registered websites, including domain names, titles, descriptions, and technical metadata. When you submit or claim a site, we collect your name and email address solely to process your request.
How We Use Information
Domain data is used to populate our public directory. Contact information is used only to communicate about your claim or submission. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
Public Directory Data
New Site Index is a public directory. Domain names, site titles, descriptions, tech stacks, and registration metadata are displayed publicly as part of our service. This data is derived from publicly accessible sources including WHOIS, certificate transparency logs, and websites themselves.
Cookies
We use an httpOnly cookie so a browser can upvote a product once. Rate limiting stores a hash of the network address with the product slug, not the raw address. Analytics scripts already on the site (Google Analytics and PostHog) may set their own cookies. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.
Product submissions
If you submit a product, we store the listing fields you send. An email address is optional and is kept with the review queue, not shown on the public board. Free submissions are not published automatically.
Data Removal
If you are the owner of a domain listed in our directory and wish to have it removed, please contact us at privacy@newsiteindex.com with proof of ownership.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
